My first attempt at a smash book layout, incorporating various things on my recent trip to York.
I've actually added a few extra embellishments since taking the photo, just to fill in some of the spaces. I really like that smash layouts are a lot less structured an more random than traditional Scrapbook layouts.

Recycled Tape Storage
I've just started using an old mug tree to keep my various rolls of tape in order and found it really useful to have them all to handle. It also found that some of my Smash pads and tag pads have hanging holes at the top so they've found a home as well!

SMASH!
Well, it's been a while since I posted anything here. I've been so busy I really haven't had time for much crafting but I'm determined to rectify this. Especially as I got this bundle of awesomeness in the post today:
I've been dying to get into the smash book thing and have finally gotten round to doing something about it. I've been collecting things to put in it (tickets from trips etc) and I'm so excited to get started. Now I just need to figure out where to begin.

Challenge - Multiple Challenges
This card is for a few challenges as well as for my Gran's birthday. The challenges are:
Just Magnolia - Sketch
Cute Card Thursday - Gems
Cupcake Craft - Recycle
I love how this card turned out so much better than I hoped when I started it! I think the stamp is called "Tilda Reading a Book". Her top is paper pieced and the rest of the image is coloured with Promarkers. She's sitting on recycled page from Jane Austen's Emma which initially I was a bit scared of tearing up (even though it was an old battered second-hand copy) but I'm glad I did because I think it makes this card - and I'm definitely going to be using the rest of the book in future projects. Also on the card is a bit of vintage lace.

Another birthday card . This is for a couple of challenges.
Catch The Bug - Sketch Challenge 103
I Love Promarkers - Pink and Purple
The image is a digi stamp from Bugaboo, called Ava Cupcake and isn't is just adorable! I love the Ava and Decan stamps! Anyhoo, it's coloured with Promarkers. The photo doesn't show the colours up to great, I need to take another one in daylight I think.

Sugar Bowl Challenge - Sketch and Paper Piecing
Here's my entry for this week's challenge over at The Sugar Bowl.
There's a sketch to work from, which I've chosen to rotate as it fitted with my image better, and an optional theme of paper piecing. I've paper pieced the dress and apron. I always forget how awesome paper piecing looks so I must make an effort to do more. The rest of the image is coloured with Promarkers.

Gorjuss Calendar #3
Another 2012 calendar made with a Gorjuss stamp, coloured with Promarkers. I really love how the backing paper looks on this.

Promarkers Ultra-fine nibs
As awesome as Promarkers are, there's sometimes a little bit of some stamped images that are a bit too small for the fine tip end of the marker. Well, here's the answer!
I got these Ultra-fine tips a few days ago and have only just got round to doing more than a quick doodle with them. Colouring small areas and adding fine detail is so much easier now!
Basically, the tip just clicks on the fine end of your Promarkers and then after a little scribble on some scrap paper, the ink flows as normal. They can be cleaned so you don't need one for each pen you have. I've got three of these and it seems to work fine. I've even found that if you're just changing to a different shade or a similar colour then as long as you scribble a little bit before applying to your image the colour turns out fine.
They come with their own lid so you can leave them attached to your pen if you wish and they're even fine enough to write with.
