iPod Case

Finally finished making this cute little case thing for my ipod. I had a few issues putting the loops in the wrong places to start with (wasn't paying attention when I was pinning everything together) and then kept meaning to sew the buttons on but never quite getting round to it. But it's done now!

Having two pouches inside is great because I can keep the charging cable and earbuds tidy too - or it will also fit my phone if necessary. The inside strap stops the iPod from falling out which is awesome because mine ends up on the floor far more often than it should. The I'm fairly sure the idea was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest but i can't find it now to give credit.

From the outside:

Button Scarf

I made this a while ago and only just got around to blogging it. The pattern can be found here although I'm not sure how rigidly I stuck to it - I usually go off at a tangent once I've started! Made with Drops Eskimo in Red.

Smash Adventure

My first attempt at a smash book layout, incorporating various things on my recent trip to York.

I've actually added a few extra embellishments since taking the photo, just to fill in some of the spaces. I really like that smash layouts are a lot less structured an more random than traditional Scrapbook layouts.

Recycled Tape Storage

I've just started using an old mug tree to keep my various rolls of tape in order and found it really useful to have them all to handle.  It also found that some of my Smash pads and tag pads have hanging holes at the top so they've found a home as well!

SMASH!

Well, it's been a while since I posted anything here. I've been so busy I really haven't had time for much crafting but I'm determined to rectify this. Especially as I got this bundle of awesomeness in the post today:

I've been dying to get into the smash book thing and have finally gotten round to doing something about it. I've been collecting things to put in it (tickets from trips etc) and I'm so excited to get started. Now I just need to figure out where to begin.

Challenge - Multiple Challenges

This card is for a few challenges as well as for my Gran's birthday. The challenges are:
Just Magnolia - Sketch
Cute Card Thursday - Gems
Cupcake Craft - Recycle

I love how this card turned out so much better than I hoped when I started it! I think the stamp is called "Tilda Reading a Book". Her top is paper pieced and the rest of the image is coloured with Promarkers. She's sitting on recycled page from Jane Austen's Emma which initially I was a bit scared of tearing up (even though it was an old battered second-hand copy) but I'm glad I did because I think it makes this card - and I'm definitely going to be using the rest of the book in future projects. Also on the card is a bit of vintage lace.
